The blue line is vertical instead of horizontal because its clear what side we stand on. The fox/wolf isn't defined because we will be whatever we need to be for our community, our friends, and our families. The dots in the ear make up the constellation of the fox as a sneaky tribute to the den. The spear stands for being on the front of whatever we do no matter if its standing shoulder to shoulder or feeding those in need. The tear is pretty self explanatory in this case and went with one because adding in all the tears recently wouldn't have been possible. Especially when you account for those who pass in silence everyday and don't get media attention.
